EDUCATION: Jane DeNight was raised overseas in the Bahamas, Japan, France, Brazil, and Spain before moving to the United States. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese, and is conversant in French. She completed her first Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Florida State University. In 2001 she received her Master's degree, with Honors, from the University of Miami, as an ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) and is licensed to practice primary care medicine. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Clinical and Academic Excellence Award from the University of Miami School of Graduate Studies.
CLINICAL SPECIALTY: Her clinical expertise is with vaginal infections and STD’s. She is an expert in the management of abnormal pap smears, colposcopy, HPV, cervical dysplasia, cervical cancer prevention, vaginal and STD infections, and birth control. She is a fellow of the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) and the International Federation for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC). ASCCP President, Thomas Cox, MD selected her to be a committee member for New Technologies and Generational Learning for the ASCCP. She has completed courses in Comprehensive and Advanced Colposcopy, Lower Genital Tract Dermatology, and LEEP with the ASCCP. Her aspirations are to be involved with the worldwide eradication of cervical cancer, the global implementation of Pap and HPV testing, and the vaccine against cervical cancer. Jane DeNight is honored to provide clinical services for Brickell Gynecology.
PASSIONS: Her other passions are classical ballet, Bossa Nova music, speaking foreign languages, and traveling.
